Grafton Morrish Public Schools Old Boys' Golf Trophy

12:00pm 16th May '10 @ Leicestershire Golf Club, Leicester

The Old Ratcliffians are entering a team into this year's Grafton Morrish Trophy (The Public Schools Old Boys' Golf Trophy).

The East Midlands Qualifying Event is being held at The Leicestershire Golf Club on Sunday 16th May. The format is a scratch foursomes medal played in teams of 6 and is designed for low single figure handicap golfers (and better). We therefore require 6 O R s who are good golfers.

So far, John Astill and Matthew Hilton are committed (handicaps of 7 and 4 respectively). If we manage to make it through the qualifying round then we will be able to play in the Finals which are held at Royal West Norfolk (Brancaster) and Hunstanton Golf Club during the first mid-week in October (locations depend on tides). We expect the green fees for the qualifying round to be £20/£30 per person and those for the finals (if we get there) to be £400 per team.

Any Old Ratcliffian with an official handicap of 9 or less who wishes to be considered to play should contact Abe Mee (0116 257 4438 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) who would be delighted to hear from you.
