Ratcliffian Retreat
1:00am 09th April '10 - 1:00am 11th April '10 @ Ratcliffe College
This year’s Retreat will be lead by Old Ratcliffian, Bishop John Arnold (71). The theme for the weekend will be: ‘Our Spiritual Journey –
the Discipleship of Christ’.
Bishop John Arnold was ordained Bishop and appointed as an Auxiliary Bishop of the the Diocese of Westminster on 3rd February 2006. He is assigned the titular see
of Lindisfarne and has responsibility for the pastoral care of the deaneries
of Barnet, Brent, Enfield, Haringey, and Harrow.
He left Ratcliffe in 1971 and since being appointed as Bishop, has made
several trips back to both Ratcliffe and Grace Dieu to perform various formal
duties, one of them being to officially open the Rosmini Sixth Form Centre at the College three years ago.
The Ratcliffian Association is honoured that his Lordship, the Bishop, has agreed to come and spend the weekend at Ratcliffe to give this Retreat to Old Ratcliffians, parents, and friends of the Ratcliffe community.
Over the years the Ratcliffian Association Retreat has developed into a very special occasion where those who attend have the opportunity to take time out from their every day routine to examine and strengthen their faith with friends and acquaintances from all walks of life.
It is possible to attend the Retreat for the whole weekend (Option 1) or to attend for the one day (Option 2).
