Benefactors Mass to start the new year

On Tuesday 15th September, the school celebrated the new academic year with a mass to which Ratcliffe's benefactors were invited. Fathers Tobin, the new Father President, Antonio Belsito and Anthony Furlong concelebrated in the presence of the staff, the senior school, staff and a small group of governors, donors and trustees.

It was the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows, which was apt as Our Lady is the main benefactor and patron of Ratcliffe.

Sophie Yell, daugher of Old Ratcliffian Andrew Yell (82) gave the introduction to the mass. She spoke of the generations of benefactors to Ratcliffe over the years from the very beginning when Lady Mary Arundel purchased the land on which Ratcliffe is built to the hundreds of Old Ratcliffians and parents who have contributed to the school up until today.
